As a supplier of generic hospital porcelain, we forego anything that increases product costs. Small glaze imperfections, a slightly misaligned handle on a stackable cup, or minor tolerances in stacking cups and plates, which do not affect the overall stackability in stackers, warming tubes, and trolleys or the precision fit in compact systems, are included up to a proportion of 20% in the mixed-quality assortment. Many brands do the same – we just declare it openly. Our hospital porcelain is not perfect but is very good and functional. It meets the demands and possibilities of basic medical care. Spending more means paying for unnecessary features we can no longer afford.
Holst’s system porcelain is the affordable alternative to expensive branded tableware. Compatible with almost all standard manufacturers on the market, competitively priced, and easy to replenish. Our system porcelain is made exclusively of feldspar porcelain at temperatures above 1,320 °C in single firing and consists only of the classic mineral-based raw materials for porcelain. It is highly hygienic, stable, and subject to continuous laboratory monitoring, ensuring full legal compliance while meeting all regulations. Naturally, our system porcelain is hypoallergenic and suitable even for highly sensitive individuals.
During a detailed investigation in 2013, the European Commission even found that the hospital tableware by Holst Porzellan is equivalent to that of premium German brands, only more affordable.
