Reactive porcelain
Holst Porzellan is one of the few suppliers worldwide that can produce reactive glazes on genuine hard porcelain. The selection becomes even smaller when an urban design language defines the form of the series. Currently, this modern collection for private and commercial hosts includes 7 reactive porcelain series. More than 90% of all reactive tableware is made from low-fired ceramics or porcelain imitations, and thus not, or only very limitedly, suitable for commercial use.
Holst Porzellan's reactive series are fired above 1,320 °C and consist of genuine feldspar porcelain. This way, we combine the good qualities of real porcelain with the fashionable trend.
The "Reactive Trend" connects reactive porcelain with the natural elements of the earth, creating a harmonious composition of taste, presentation, humanity, and nature. The series' colour play offers a sensory arena and allows for hundreds of variations in mix & match, meaning the combination of articles within these seven series. Extraordinary shapes, handmade, emphasise the natural character of the porcelain. The reactive effect glazes give each item a unique appearance, and together they form a natural picture.
Do not be misled by terms from other suppliers such as "Catering porcelain" or "Vitreous China", stoneware, or New Bone China. All these terms do not correspond to the quality of "porcelain" and are not comparable in terms of price, glaze hardness, hygienic stability, and durability with real porcelain.
