Coffee Filters
In the current era of mechanisation, coffee preparation has become a largely automated process, with the majority of consumers relying on pre-filled water tanks, pods or capsules, or refilled beans and a simple button press. However, there has been a recent shift towards more traditional methods, with ground coffee (coffee powder) and a coffee filter (brewed coffee) becoming more popular. When brewing coffee using a coffee filter, attention is also paid to the appearance of the filter. This is no longer comparable to the traditional (old-fashioned) plastic filter. Porcelain and ceramic filters in various sizes and shapes are becoming increasingly popular.
In the context of hot drinks and coffee enjoyment, the porcelain coffee filter is a clear favourite. We have further developed and refined the original coffee filter. It is worth noting that the first porcelain filter was developed by Melitta in the 1950s and has since gained a cult following. Our porcelain filter features two easy-grip button handles, which make it easier to remove the filter from the jug with both hands, rather than the single handle found on some other filters. Furthermore, the flavour bars are raised and the filters in both sizes are each provided with a suitable number of holes to allow the coffee to be brewed easily.
We offer this practical kitchen helper in two sizes:
- as a table-top jug filter for filter bags 1x4.
- as a cup filter or portion jug filter for filter bags 101.
