The Form Italiano Cup Series embodies in form, quality and design the original Italian coffee experience of classic espresso, cappuccino and caffè latte, typically made from Arabica and Rusta roasts. The design of the Italiano cups has a very special function and reflects the coffee culture of the Italian coffee connoisseur engraved in porcelain: the half-height, thick-walled cup body tapers inwards towards the base to form a subtly curved cup base. If the cup is placed correctly under the portafilter, the créma can flow slowly down the walls and into the body of the cup, helping the roast to develop its unique flavour.

The coffee slides gently into the cup and develops a perfect créma. Pre-warmed, the Italiano porcelain cups have by far the longest thermal storage capacity of all Holst Porcelain cups. The cup sizes reflect the dolce vita of Mediterranean lightness. The espresso cup holds a full 0.08 litres (for portions between 0.04 and 0.06 litres), the cappuccino cup holds 0.18 litres (for portions between 0.14 and 0.16 litres) and the latte cup holds 0.35 litres (for portions between 0.28 and 0.32 litres). We recommend the Italiano porcelain cups especially for professional coffee service from typical portafilter machines and for all connoisseurs for whom coffee is more than just a simple infusion drink.

For those who prefer to enjoy their coffee in a more "German" style (i.e. with larger portions and contents), we recommend our Palermo cup series. If you are looking for more variety in your coffee, the ConForm range offers a wider range of cups.
