High-quality ceramic bowls with a slate look
Trendy hosts are always on the lookout for something special. They are particularly interested in new materials, unusual shapes, colours and glazes. Natural stones such as slate and basalt are currently in particularly high demand when it comes to the stylish presentation of food.
Real stone bowls are not hygienic, very heavy and difficult to handle. For this reason, we have developed a range of bowls and dishes that match the visual impression of slate bowls and are suitable for use with food and foodstuffs (in accordance with LFGB and FDA). The slate design bowls are the result of our development and are produced in two versions.
- Black slate hard ceramic with a matt glaze
- Black slate hard ceramic with a glossy glaze.
Each of these qualities has a specific application property, which we explain in detail in the respective articles. When compared to natural slate, both qualities offer significant advantages when used as food contact materials.
- 100% dishwasher-safe
- 100% microwaveable
- 100% hygienic stability
- Heat & ovenproof
- High gastronomic professionalism in the white and glossy version
- Lightweight
- Longer shelf life
Please be aware that the matt version is not cut-resistant and therefore unsuitable for all food that is subject to mechanical pressure when eaten. The matt slate bowl is particularly popular as an ice cream bowl, dessert bowl, portion bowl for pesto, dips, dips and creams, salads, chips, wedges and many other trendy dishes. We produce these two black slate qualities to meet the high demands of our customers. Our customers value the special authenticity and similarity to real slate. The matt slate ceramic is almost indistinguishable from natural slate stone on the table. It is a hygienic and clean alternative to real slate, which is very porous and has a number of questionable properties when used with food.
Please find below the most important instructions for using matt glazes.
Please note that tableware with a matt glaze is more sensitive than normal porcelain and is not suitable for all dishes and types of use. Before using crockery with a matt glaze, please read our instructions for use. Thank you.
